To practice yoga is to practice love. And the world today needs more love.
Everyday hundreds, thousands, of people walk with negative thoughts lodged in their heads. I know this because I was one of them.
One class at a time yoga changes that. Because yoga is different.
Yoga teaches and inspires me to practice love on and off the mat.
Here’s how –
On my mat is where I learned to appreciate who I truly am. I learned to appreciate the way my body moves from one asana to the next, how my body flows with breath through movement. This appreciation turned to love; and overtime yoga taught me how to treat myself with kindness.
Off the mat is where the domino effect takes place. I believe how you view yourself has a direct relation on how you view others. As I have learned to be kind to myself I have also learned how to better express love and kindness to the world around me. Yoga has infused my life with love.
My vision now is to promote the practice of yoga and the practice of love with those around me. Whether this is as a teacher in the basement of my own home or as the owner of a studio.
I believe yoga is for everyone – from the type A businessman, the daredevil entrepreneur, to the chief adventurers. Everyone could use a little more love in their life.
