ARRINGTON HAWAII VACATION
My family hasn't take a huge family vacation in quite a few years! We always went somewhere when I was younger. We traveled quite a bit to the Bahamas, Hawaii, Mexico and even Jerusalem for 2 months. But, as our family grew larger it became harder to travel all together.
My mom and dad wanted to treat the entire family to a huge vacation once all of the siblings were married. Well, at least that was what she always told us haha maybe it was to encourage Preston and I to hurry up and find someone?? ;)
Anyway, my mom and dad treated the entire family to a week long family vacation in Hawaii! IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!! We rented out a huge AirBnb home and all piled in together. The week was spent visiting all of the beaches on the north shore, Waimea Falls, hiking, and a day at the Polynesian Cultural Center. Our day at the PCC was my favorite day!
Kyston and I flew out a few days earlier than everyone else so that we could visit his family too. Kyston spent his summers growing up on holiday in Hawaii. His grandma lived right around the corner from the BYU-Hawaii campus. His uncle and his family live in his grandma's house now. We were able to stay there for two nights with them. It was such a trip down memory lane for Kyston. We walked to the local grocery store for treats, played basketball in his grandma's driveway, and made sure to visit his grandparent's gravesight at the Valley of Temples. Hawaii took on a whole new meaning to me seeing it all through Kyston's eyes.
