This day was quite an adventure! We started off by visiting the Temple Mount and then off to Masada. Masada was incredible! Seeing the ruins and hearing the stories of the empire was breathtaking. From here we left to Qumran. The Qumran is the location where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. After we went to go float in the Dead Sea! What an incredible experience!!! I had been looking forward to being able to float in the Dead Sea for such a long time and it was nothing like I had ever imagined. It is unbelievably salty! The second you step into the sea you can tell. I had a few scrapes on my legs and they hurt so badly. When I finally laid my body into the water I was expecting it to sting a little and have to put in some effort to stay a float but boy was I wrong! You float like CRAZY!!! Even in the shallow areas it is impossible to stand up because the salt carries you to the surface. Floating in the dead sea was so much fun and the experience had all of us laughing! xx, m.
