Life has been crazy lately but before I forget any more details I have to document my trip to Denver to visit one of my lifelong best friends Rose! Earlier I mentioned that I do this thing where I check airline tickets more than I do social media and guys, I wasn't lying about that. When I found $40 round trip flight tickets from Salt Lake City to Denver I immediately called up Rose to see if I could come visit her. Naturally she was stoked on it and just like that the tickets were booked. I flew out of SLC Friday after work. Rose picked me up in Denver and took me straight to one of her favorite restaurants that is a Colorado original, Illegal Pete's. It's a Mexican restaurant (my favorite) and guys.... their queso sauce was phenomenal. After we met up with Rose's brother, Teddy, and his friends for a bitand explored downtown Denver together. Having a now local Coloradan to show me all her favorite spots was a blast. That night we slept at Teddy's and woke up early the next morning to head up to Keystone Mountain Resort to ski. Rose and I are convinced that Vail Ski Resort Co. is taking over the world. But it makes it nice that if you have the Park City pass you can also ski a majority of the Colorado resorts! The snow was honestly pretty dece but regardless being able to be with my close friend doing something we both love so much makes for Saturday well spent. After a full day on the mountain we headed into Breckenridge to grab dinner with a few friends. Honestly, so many laughs during dinner. The rest of the crew stayed in Brekenridge that night but Rose and I headed back to Fort Collins to spend the night in her house there. Once we were there Rose took me to downtown Fort Collins and to her favorite bakery - Mary Mountain's Cookies. The cookies were divine that I actually had to buy two giant cookies and thoroughly enjoyed each one. Once we reached Rose's house we both passed out the second our heads hit that pillow. Sunday morning was our last little bit of time together. We stopped by a sacrament meeting in the morning and the grabbed a quick bite to eat before I had to get dropped off at the airport. I was so sad to leave Rose and Colorado. Because one, I love Rose, two Colorado is actually waaayyy rad and three, I love Rose. Good thing I'm checking for those cheap flights again right! xx, m.
