For Memorial Day weekend the girls and I knew we wanted to do something fun so we decided we would road trip down to St George and Vegas! We headed out Friday night after work and made the stop in St George for the night. We slept at my parents that night after hot-tubing with some friends. Saturday morning we woke up bright and early to drive to Vegas. The drive down was filled with laughing and Eminem throwbacks. When we got to Las Vegas we drove straight to our hotel to check in. As a group we agreed that it was worth it to split a hotel on The Las Vegas Strip. Ya, it was going to be a bit more expensive but it is such a prime location; and knowing we were central on The Strip was worth it to us. We picked to stay at The Flamingo for two reasons. The first is everything in the hotel is pink and second, the pool at The Flamingo is bumpin'! #lolz Once we dropped our bags off we headed straight to the pool, scouted out our spots and laid in the sun. It felt so good to feel the heat of the warm sun on my skin again - its been far too cold for far too long here in Provo and that hot, direct sunlight is what we've been needing! After laying out by the pool for a few hours we headed inside, changed, and then made our way to Shake Shack for a late lunch. Shake Shack was delicious, as always, and was one thousand percent worth that hour and a half wait. After lunch we did a bit of shopping at Fashion Show and then went back to our hotel for a brief nap at 9PM (haha vegas life) before we headed out for the night. Earlier when we had been walking The Strip a few club bouncers kept talking to us about coming to their club tonight. Honestly I feel like they are always way annoying but one bouncer caught our attention when he said the words "free" and "Steve Ayoki". So ya, basically we ended up at the Jewel Nightclub dancing our hearts out to Steve Ayoki. It was a late night but it was a blast. We danced till 4:30AM and hit up Buffalo Wild Wings for some much needed wings after. Following our late-night dinner / early-morning breakfast we headed home to go to sleep as the sun was rising! We were dead tired and the next day was spent sleeping, driving home and eating. Vegas, this one was fun. xx, m.
